Free handyman quote template

A free handyman quote template gives you a fixed scope, options, a payment schedule and the terms to write down once the job is defined.

The short version

A handyman quote works for a defined list of small repairs agreed before the visit. A handyman quote is a fixed offer: it names the scope, the price, what is not included, and the date the price is good until.

Scope of work for the base package

The example quote is for a fixed list of small repairs agreed before the visit. The wording under each line is the kind of scope sentence you can copy and edit. Unit prices are example rates from the starter lines in the quote generator, not market prices, so replace them with your own.

Worked quote total

The base price is the offer. Options are added only when the client accepts them. The tax rate is an example only.

Validity and acceptance

State a validity date, for example that the price holds for 30 days from the quote date. Then add an acceptance line: the client signs and dates the quote, or replies in writing, and the deposit starts the schedule. A signature block is a name, a signature and a date for the client and for you.

Exclusions for a handyman quote

  • Any work that requires a licensed trade, such as gas or major electrical.
  • Items not on the written list.
  • Large parts or fixtures, unless listed.
  • Repainting beyond touch-up of repaired areas.

Change orders

Anything not on the list is quoted separately at the hourly rate, and not started until the client agrees.

Not ready to commit to a price?

A handyman gives an estimate for a mixed or open-ended list, and a quote when the list is short, fixed and agreed. If the scope is still open, start with the handyman estimate template and give a range.

The paperwork is the part that gets you paid

An estimate or a quote wins the job. A clear invoice with a due date gets it paid, and a late fee stated on the document is one you can actually apply.

The first four documents you send as a tracked link are free with an account. Everything else on InvoiceTools.com stays free. Generators, calculators and downloads need no account; template designs need a free one.
