The example quote is for a fixed-scope plumbing visit to replace a fixture whose model is already known, priced as the call-out and first hour, four additional hours of labor, one allowance for parts and materials, and disposal of the old fixture. The wording under each line is the kind of scope sentence you can copy and edit. Unit prices are example rates from the starter lines in the quote generator, not market prices, so replace them with your own.

Validity and acceptance
State a validity date, for example that the price holds for 30 days from the quote date. Then add an acceptance line: the client signs and dates the quote, or replies in writing, and the deposit starts the schedule. A signature block is a name, a signature and a date for the client and for you.
Exclusions for a plumbing quote
- Opening or repairing finished walls, tile and cabinets unless listed.
- Work on supply lines or drains beyond the connection points named.
- Electrical work for the new unit.
- Permit and inspection fees, unless listed in the scope.
Change orders
If the old connection or valve fails when opened, stop and send a written change priced at the labor and parts rates shown.
