Free electrical quote template

A free electrical quote template gives you a fixed scope, options, a payment schedule and the terms to write down once the job is defined.

The short version

An electrical quote is only as firm as its description of the circuits, the protection devices and the testing it includes. An electrical quote is a fixed offer: it names the scope, the price, what is not included, and the date the price is good until.

Scope of work for the base package

The example quote is for replacing a panel with new circuits protected and labeled, then tested and ready for the permit inspection. The wording under each line is the kind of scope sentence you can copy and edit. Unit prices are example rates from the starter lines in the quote generator, not market prices, so replace them with your own.

Validity and acceptance

State a validity date, for example that the price holds for 30 days from the quote date. Then add an acceptance line: the client signs and dates the quote, or replies in writing, and the deposit starts the schedule. A signature block is a name, a signature and a date for the client and for you.

Exclusions for an electrical quote

  • Upgrade of the utility service or meter.
  • Repair of wiring or devices on circuits not listed in the scope.
  • Patching and painting of walls opened for cable runs, unless listed.
  • Permit and inspection fees, unless listed.

Change orders

If a circuit outside the list fails testing, report it and price the fix as a written change before touching it.

Not ready to commit to a price?

An electrician gives an estimate before opening a panel or tracing a fault, and a quote when the circuits and devices are counted and agreed. If the scope is still open, start with the electrical estimate template and give a range.

The paperwork is the part that gets you paid

An estimate or a quote wins the job. A clear invoice with a due date gets it paid, and a late fee stated on the document is one you can actually apply.

The first four documents you send as a tracked link are free with an account. Everything else on InvoiceTools.com stays free. Generators, calculators and downloads need no account; template designs need a free one.
