Who Housecall Pro suits better
Housecall Pro is a strong operations product for home services. Online booking straight into your calendar, dispatch, a price book, review requests and consumer financing on bigger jobs are all on the entry plan, and Essentials adds routes and technician GPS tracking. If you have technicians and a schedule to fill, that combination earns its cost and none of it is here.
Who this site suits
This site suits the one-van business that fills the diary by phone and needs the paperwork done in the driveway. The cost estimator breaks a job into costed lines, the free invoice generator loads your trade's line items with starting prices you edit, and the payment links tool puts a pay link and QR code from your own processor on the invoice. Chasing is the real cost either way: the late payment statistics show how long invoices take to clear.

If you want online booking, dispatch and automatic follow-ups, it earns the fee. If you are one or two people who already fill the diary by phone, most of what you pay for runs in the background unused.
Can I take card payments without Housecall Pro?
Yes. Pay now takes card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank payments through Stripe, with Stripe's own fee plus an InvoiceTools fee of 1.3% on cards or 0.5% on bank payments on the Free plan (less on Pro and Business). You can also put your own payment link on the document with the payment links tool.
